Language accessibility and multi-language events are covered by 4 services we support:

What are "live subtitles"?

"Live subtitles" is the collective name of three features working together seamlessly for allowing attendees to access captions in a language of their choosing during a live event.

How to set up live subtitles?

  1. Hypersay Events team must enable the feature for your organisation. Send your request here.

  2. When organising an event, check for the new option inside stage configuration.

  3. Select the input language that will be spoken, during the event, inside that stage. If you have multiple stages, you can enable / disabled / choose an input language for each stage individually. (e.g. select "English US" since speakers on stage will use this language)

  4. Select the output language, i.e. the set of languages available for your attendees to choose from, during the live event.

  5. During the live event, the attendees watching a live stream on a stage can now select the desired language. (e.g. "German" or "Japanese"). Each attendee can choose a different language. Here's a short video on how that works:

How to test live subtitles

  1. Configure a Stage with Studio support and your preferred input and output languages
  2. Open the corresponding Studio and start broadcasting
  3. Either talk in the Studio or play a video, both in the input language
  4. Watch the subtitles as an attendee inside the live event page
